Kaleigh and Dominic’s engagement session was awesome for a couple of reasons – first they’re an awesome couple! They’re so easy-going and friendly that it’s just plain fun to be around them. The other reason is because it was our first time photographing an e-session at Griffith Park and at LACMA and we love photographing at locations for the first time – new scenery really helps to get our creative juices flowing.
We originally planned to take pictures at Griffith Observatory, but the whole area was closed off for a special event. So we decided to walk along the trails near the observatory and it worked out great. Kaleigh and Dominic love great views and the feeling of being on top of the world so fortunately we were able to capture some of those views along the trails. A big reason why they chose the Oviatt Penthouse for their wedding location is the cool view you get at the top of the downtown LA building.
The lamp post installation at LACMA was an awesome location for this e-session. We’ve driven by it a bunch of times in the past and we’ve always wanted to photograph there because it’s such a unique location. We had a great time capturing some fun, romantic, and playful images with Kaleigh and Dominic under the glow of hundreds of antique lamp posts. We’re looking forward to Kaleigh and Dominic’s Oviatt wedding later this month!
