Hi! I'm Inland Empire wedding photographer, Josh Goodman and I created the page to share a bit of info on some of the things that make the Inland Empire weddings unique and some venues you might want to consider for your wedding.
Since the cities in the Inland Empire are in a Desert region, the temperatures can be extreme. This can be an important factor to take into account when planning your wedding. In the winter months, evening temperatures can sometimes drop into the 30’s so heat lamps for outdoor cocktail hours and receptions in the evening are a good idea. If you’re having a July, August, or September wedding, consider having your ceremony indoors to save your guests from temperatures that can sometimes go over 100 degrees. If an outdoor ceremony is important to you, consider having within a couple hours of sunset when it cools down a bit. Having parasols and plenty of ice cold water available is another great idea in the summer months, especially when it’s time to take family pictures outdoors.
Many people aren’t aware of how many unique and fantastic wedding venues the IE has to offer. From historic mansions, to romantic wineries, to the great outdoors, there are great options for every couple’s style. I feel fortunate to be wedding photographers in Southern California because of the sheer variety of venues, including those in the Inland Empire. Here’s a brief overview of some of the more popular Inland Empire wedding venues:
Riverside features one of the most beautiful venues in the Inland Empire, The Mission Inn Hotel and Spa. This national historic landmark was built in the Mission Revival style and was completed in 1931. Ten U.S. presidents have visited the Mission Inn over the years. There is so much amazing architecture and romance within the Mission Inn’s walls that it’s a wedding photographer’s dream. You’ll definitely get the romantic wedding images you dreamed about at this venue! The Mission Inn features two chapels and four beautiful reception rooms. The Music Room is the largest of the four and can accommodate up to 310 guests. If you’re looking for a wedding venue with a little more of a Southern/Country feeling, take a look at Crestmore Manor.
Temecula is home to many amazing wineries that are also fantastic wedding venues. Here are some of Temecula’s best wedding venues to consider: Wilson Creek Winery, Lake Oak Meadows, Leoness Cellars, Mount Palomar Winery, and Wiens Family Cellars. Also Stone Gardens in nearby Fallbrook is a true oasis, featuring stone rock formations and beautiful water elements.
Claremont features two venues that are very different but great choices in their own unique ways. Padua Hills Theatre is nestled in the foothills of Claremont. It was an actual working theater for many years, but now it’s an event venue featuring two outdoor ceremony locations, an indoor ceremony option, and the beautiful Theatre Ballroom for your wedding reception. The Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden features several outdoor ceremony and reception locations with picturesque views. It’s a great location for couples who love the outdoors!
