Blair and Zach’s Beverly Hills Wedding
Getting Ready at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills
I’ve been looking forward to photographing Blair and Zach’s Il Cielo wedding for months, so when their big day arrived, I couldn’t wait to start capturing their love story! Blair was relaxed and in good spirits when I arrived to photograph her getting ready pictures at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills. She was enjoying a cup of tea while in the finishing stages of hair and makeup and chatting with one of her bridesmaids. I love starting the day off with such an easy-going atmosphere because nerves and stress don’t lend themselves well to natural upbeat and wedding pictures! Blair and Zach were having their ceremony and reception across the street at Il Cielo, so the Four Seasons so it made perfect sense to stay and get ready at there. I loved capturing Blair’s mom and sister helping her with her stunning open backed wedding dress!
Bride and Groom Pictures at the Beverly Canon Gardens
After a beautiful and emotional first look in the back courtyard of the Four Seasons, we drove to the Beverly Canon Gardens for additional bride and groom pictures. It was super busy on this particular Sunday afternoon, but I managed to shoot around all of the restaurant and cafe customers to capture some gorgeous images that really capture Blair and Zach’s playful and romantic sides! After this short bride and groom photo session, we headed back so Blair and Zach could prepare for their ceremony.
Ceremony and Reception at Il Cielo
The main events of the day, Blair and Zach’s Wedding ceremony and reception took place at one of my favorite venues for weddings with 125 guests or less – Il Cielo restaurant. Il Cielo wedding are always awesome in large part due to Giovanni, the Director of Special Events at Il Cielo is amazing at managing the intricate “dance” that has to take place when the main room at Il Cielo is transformed from a ceremony setup to a reception setup! There are a lot of tight spaces inside Il Cielo, so it’s quite a feat! Blair and Zach’s ceremony was short but sweet – totaling about 15 minutes – but it never felt rushed or missing anything. During their reception, the restaurant was packed to it’s maxed with wedding guests, so the whole venue had a great energy and buzz about it with lots of funny and emotional speeches!
My Favorite Part of the Day
My favorite part of Blair and Zach’s wedding had to be the dancing at their reception. Sometimes it feels like guests are just dancing because it’s expected at a wedding. Not at Blair and Zach’s wedding! It was a party and it felt like every guest at the reception crammed onto the small dance floor to have a great time and celebrate this memorable and festive night!
