As promised, here’s some of our favorite images from our trip to San Francisco last year. We’d never been to SF before so we were really looking forward to experiencing this beautiful and unique city! We were only able to visit for a day, but we really tried to make the most of it. We were told that parking is a pain in SF, so we decided to leave the car in a parking garage and walk/cable-car around the city.
We started the morning at Union Square. The architecture of the buildings around Union Square is amazing! Then we took the Powell-Mason cable-car up to Chinatown…so many cool things to buy/eat here! From there, we walked up some crazy steep hills to get to Coit Tower. The view was amazing (despite the fog!). We were getting really hungry, so we walked down to Fisherman’s Wharf for some delicious clam chowder, crab legs, and shrimp….yum! After a stroll on the wharf, it was getting late, so we took the cable-car back to Union Square.
We couldn’t leave without a trip across the Golden Gate Bridge, though. It was so foggy that we couldn’t even see the bridge towers until we were directly underneath them! It was a really amazing day, and we can’t wait to go back for a longer trip and see all that SF has to offer! Let us know if you have any suggestions for things to see in SF the next time we visit.
